IMI Assessment Report-RAPID Project

Publication Date: 16/12/2017

The IMI is a tool which was developed by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development under the National Solidarity Programme (NSP) to assess the capacity and the maturity level of CDCs. CARE Afghanistan also uses the IMI with local Community Development Councils (CDCs) in their programme area. The most important aspect of the IMI process is not even the score itself – what is most important is the CDC’s self-reflection and dialogue about its own performance, and the Action Plan the CDC prepares to work on its institutional strength. The survey was conducted to ascertain or capture the CDCs performance in term of knowledge, practice and attitude in a particular population (40 CDCs in two provinces). It also help to find out the gap whether there is a need for intervention and in which manner. [42 pages]
