Pre-Assessment of the Membership Fee Component- Strengthening WAFAA Project

This 24 page rapid assessment aims to draw from the KWA member’s sense over the association’s fundraising activities and the solicitation of membership fees. The assessment intends to identify existing gaps and challenges in the current system with an overall review of the member’s understanding of the importance & need for association to be self-reliant. It focuses primarily upon – level of women’s participation, interest and ability to pay membership fees; & the level of the member’s participation in communal decision making. So, the purpose of this assessment is to collate the understanding, feedback, expectation, acceptance and interest of the association members in fundraising

activities and the need to collect membership fees. The assessment will assess the extent to which the

Every Voice Counts (EVC) Project – National Advocacy Conference Position Paper

CARE and its partners WCLRF, AWRC and HRRAC are jointly implementing the Every Voice Count-EVC program in targeted provinces to advocate rights and the position of women and girls in order to enable the environment for their access and participation in education and health services; this is achieved via the implementation of the community score card and advocacy to promote inclusive governance and incorporate lessons learnt into policies, priorities and programs of the MoE and MoPH. Research of VSLAs/Community-Based Savings Groups in Household’s Resilience

The objective of the research is to foster a better understanding of the economic empowerment approach that CARE applies in its programmes and specifically zoom in on the modalities that CARE uses in this regard: Village Savings and Loan Associations, Community Based Savings Groups and Savings and Credit Groups. After having applied these approaches in various programmes and in different modalities for several years, CARE Afghanistan would like to know what the effect of these approaches is on women and their communities and what can be said about the relation between the economic empowerment interventions and the effect on resilience of women, their households and their communities.
