Evaluación final del proyecto “Escalando el desarrollo empresarial para el empoderamiento de mujeres”

Llevar el desarrollo empresarial para el empoderamiento de las mujeres a escala es el desafío principal de la segunda fase de intervención en el Perú en el marco de una asociación global entre la Fundación H&M y CARE Holanda. Es así que, uno de los objetivos de esta segunda fase es tener una mejor comprensión del potencial y las necesidades específicas y diversas de la iniciativa empresarial liderada por mujeres en grupos o asociaciones.

Para medir el logro de esta segunda fase, CARE Perú llevó a cabo un proceso de generación de información, a través de un servicio de consultoría, que sirviera de Línea de Base del proyecto. El recojo de información se llevó a cabo entre los meses de febrero y marzo 2017, a través de la aplicación de encuestas a beneficiarias del proyecto en las regiones de Piura, Junín y Huancavelica.

Con los resultados obtenidos de la Línea de Base 2017, CARE Perú procedió a generar la información cuantitativa de la Línea Final del proyecto, cuyo trabajo de campo de aplicación de encuestas se desarrolló en el mes de noviembre 2019 (2 años y 8 meses después de la Línea de Base), a través del presente servicio de consultoría. El objetivo central de la evaluación es comparar los resultados de ambos procesos de recojo de información, a fin de verificar si han ocurrido mejoras en indicadores líderes del proyecto a favor de las beneficiarias. A ello se suma una comparación de resultados contra un grupo de emprendedoras no beneficiarias, cuya información también fue recogida en el trabajo de campo de noviembre 2019. SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A STEP TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE (SESTI)

This is the 34 page final evaluation of "Social Entrepreneurship: a Step towards Independence. SESTI Project" by CARE International in cooperation with partners organizations Centre for Roma Initiatives (CRI) from Niksic and Bona Fide from Pljevlja started implementation of the project. This project was funded by the EU through the IPA 2014 Civil Society Facility Montenegro Programme.
The focus of this project is support to the Montenegro civil society organizations in the struggle to achieve sustainability of their core operations and achieve independence of their fundamental programs from the donors’ funding. To raise stability and independence of the civil society sector, the project recognised economic empowerment of NGOs and, more particularly, NGO engagement in social entrepreneurship, as one of the best “tools”, which will help them maintain their full mandate to represent the citizens in achievement of their rights. Krishi Utsho Micro-franchise Project Impact Assessment

64 page impact assessment of Krishi Utsho Micro-franchise project, an emerging social enterprise project. It runs on a micro- franchise model by CARE Bangladesh. KU started in the year 2012, as a part of Strengthening the Dairy Value Chain (SDVC) project to provide timely access to affordable and quality agro inputs and advisory services to rural smallholder dairy farmers, particularly women. Later on with the support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN), the project selected shops in villages to ensure last mile access and branded 198 shops so far under KU brand. Those branded shops or franchisee are acting as a one stop solution center for more than 45,000 smallholder farmers combined, particularly for vulnerable women in North-East and South-West regions in Bangladesh, and thereby contributing to increased productivity and ensuring resilience in livelihood. KU will be expanding the product line in the franchisee shops according to farmers’ need. The purpose of this impact assessment was to identify the project impact on the beneficiary groups so far, to capture deviation (intended and unintended) from what it originally set out to do. The assessment thus intends to look at the model’s sustainability even after the project ceases to exist and make recommendations along this line.
