Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras
Se presenta el informe de la evaluación final del proyecto “Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras” resultado de un ejercicio participativo realizado entre mayo y septiembre de 2019. El proyecto fue diseñado e implementado por CARE Internacional Honduras, y tenía por objetivo principal contribuir a mejorar la calidad de vida de hombres, mujeres, niñas, niños y jóvenes que viven en condiciones de pobreza, exclusión, vulnerabilidad y riesgo, generando condiciones para la seguridad alimentaria, la salud, la nutrición y la gobernanza en materia de seguridad alimentaria, a través del desarrollo de componentes programáticos bajos estas temáticas. En términos de alcance cuantitativo, se lograron evaluar 26 indicadores con disponibilidad de información, encontrando que el proyecto logró el cumplimiento de 16: cumplió con 8 de 8 indicadores en el componente de disponibilidad de alimentos, 4 de 6 en el componente de gobernabilidad, 1 de 2 en el componente de alimento solidario y 3 de 10 en el componente de salud. In 2008, the CARE-WWF Alliance emerged as a major strategic partnership between two international non- governmental organizations seeking to tackle the linked challenge of poverty and natural resource degradation. From the start, the mission of the Alliance was to test the idea that empowering some of the poorest and most vulnerable women and communities on the planet to engage in sustainable livelihoods and natural resource governance could improve their wellbeing and conserve globally important biodiversity.

The NGO Health Service Delivery Project 2012 – 2018 – Final Report
From 2012 to 2017, USAID supported the Surjer Hashi (SH), or Smiling Sun, network through the NGO Health Service Delivery Project (NHSDP). The UK Department for International Development (DfID) provided additional funding beginning in the second project year. A consortium led by Pathfinder International, NHSDP provided material and technical support to 25 NGOs, who served a catchment area of 26.3 million people through a network of 399 static and 10,872 satellite clinics and 11,842 community service providers (CSPs). In its five years of implementation, the SH network made 251,490,942 services contacts, 8,237,567 of which were for antenatal care (ANC) and 42,577,833 were adolescents or youth. More than three million visits to SH clinics for children under five years of age integrated activities to monitor children’s growth and promote healthy nutrition. By providing 7,839,430 Couple Years' Protection, the SH network averted 2,000 maternal and 10,000 child deaths and 1.9 million unwanted pregnancies. Read More...
Evaluation finale de l’Initiative Maman Lumière II de CARE Niger
Dans le cadre de son projet Initiative Maman Lumière II, CARE International en partenariat avec l'Institut National de la Statistique (INS) a organisé une enquête d'évaluation de fin de projet du 4 au 15 janvier 2020.
En 2016, une enquête de base a été réalisée dans l'ensemble des villages d'intervention du projet. Cette enquête avait pour objectif de doter le projet d'indicateurs de référence qui serviront d'éléments de comparaison à la fin du projet afin d'informer les acteurs et le bayer des progrès réalisés en trois années de vie du projet.
L'enquête d'évaluation finale à concerner tous les villages d'intervention du projet. Cependant, pour des questions sécuritaires, 18 villages du département de Madarounfa n'ont pas été couvert par l'opération.
La méthodologie utilisée pour cette étude est basée sur un sondage par grappe à deux degrés. Les populations cibles sont définies selon les modules : les enfants de 6 à 59 mois et les femmes de 45 à 49 pour l'anthropométrie, les enfants de 0 à 23 mois pour l'ANJE, les enfants de 0 à 11 mois pour la vaccination.
La collecte des données a été effectuée sur des tablettes avec l'application ODK (Open Data Kit). L'analyse des données est effectuée sur ENA for SMART et STATA. Read More...

UBALE: United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations – PARTICIPATORY GENDER ANALYSIS FINAL REPORT
United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations (UBALE), is a five-year (2015-2019) Food for Peace program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a consortium led by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in partnership with the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), Save the Children, and the Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM). The program aims to reduce chronic malnutrition and food insecurity and build resilience among vulnerable populations in three districts in Malawi, Blantyre Rural, Chikwawa and Nsanje.

Endline Survey of Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Action in Nepal at Dhading and Sindhupalchowk Final Report
“Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Action in Nepal at Sindhupalchowk and Dhading" is a Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded the project which has been implemented by CARE International in the partnership with CSRC and RIMS Nepal. As per the new federal structures, the project covered 6 former VDCs which fall in 2 Rural Municipalities. The ultimate outcome of the project was to improve the well- being and resilience of women, men, girls and boys in targeted earthquake-affected areas of Nepal. An endline evaluation of the project was carried out to capture the performance and impact of the project. The study was carried out using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Six former VDCs where the project was implemented were sampled for the study. A total of 415 household survey, 24 FGDs and 26 KIIs were conducted to collect primary data. Besides these, spot assessments of 16 water supply schemes were also conducted.

ATSABE RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR IMPROVEMENT OF LIVELIHOOD IN ERMERA DISTRICT (HAFORSA PROJECT) THE END OF PROJECT EVALUATION
The HAFORSA project in Timor-Leste – 2016 to 2019 – sought to address two of the most challenging issues facing many of the world’s poorest countries; namely, development of subsistence-based agricultural livelihoods and women’s empowerment. The main targets of the intervention were, very appropriately, 430 prospective members of farmer groups (including women-only farmer groups) in some of the most inaccessible and impoverished parts of the country, namely, in Atsabe sub-district of Ermera District. Particular challenges in the project-targeted areas included: lack of irrigation system and limited public investment in agriculture, the high levels of illiteracy, and longstanding perceptions (prejudices) regarding the traditional roles of women.

Final Evaluation: Ah Har Ya (Nourish) Northern Shan State
This report presents the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the Final Evaluation of the project: “Ah Har Ya (Nourish)”. Implemented by CARE International in Myanmar, launched on April 2017, on its first phase for one year, later extended for a further year ending on 30th of June 2019.
The project, implemented in 12 villages of Lashio Township (Northern Shan State) with a target population of 528 Households (HHs), is funded by Latter-day Saints Charities (LDSC). It aims to contribute to food and nutrition security through sustainable agricultural production, access to water for human consumption and farming, women participation in
decision makings and improvement on hygiene and nutrition behaviour.

Assisting vulnerable food insecure household recovery from mid-season drought and erratic rainfall project for CARE international Zimbabwe – Final Evaluation Report
CARE International in Zimbabwe (CIZ) implemented a twelve months emergency intervention programme titled ‘Assisting vulnerable food insecure household recovery from mid-season drought and erratic rainfall’ in Gwanda and Beitbridge districts of Matabeleland South province. The programme that targeted 30 000 individuals (23% of the total population) went on to implement interventions under cropping, livestock and economic recovery activities and assisted the most vulnerable households (15% of total beneficiaries) with small livestock and small grains. These vulnerable households were targeted to recover from the impact of previous drought years, erratic rainfalls and mid-season dry spells aiming to prevent a potential decline into severe food insecurity.
