Informe Final de Evaluación Proyecto Nutriendo el Futuro Fase II
El Proyecto Nutriendo el Futuro Fase II se ejecutó en el marco de la alianza CARE y Cargill, en apoyo a cuatro países del área centroamericana: Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Costa Rica.
Su objetivo fue contribuir a que los productores/as y microempresarios/as de las áreas rurales y periurbanas del área de influencia de Cargill mejoraran la calidad de vida de sus familias, garantizando su seguridad alimentaria y el manejo sostenible de sus recursos naturales. El mismo se implementó por un período de 36 meses, entre septiembre de 2016 y agosto de 2019. El Proyecto brindó apoyo directo a un total de 84 comunidades, 1,606 pequeños productores/as, 968 microempresarios/as y 25,968 niños y niñas en edad escolar. Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras
Se presenta el informe de la evaluación final del proyecto “Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras” resultado de un ejercicio participativo realizado entre mayo y septiembre de 2019. El proyecto fue diseñado e implementado por CARE Internacional Honduras, y tenía por objetivo principal contribuir a mejorar la calidad de vida de hombres, mujeres, niñas, niños y jóvenes que viven en condiciones de pobreza, exclusión, vulnerabilidad y riesgo, generando condiciones para la seguridad alimentaria, la salud, la nutrición y la gobernanza en materia de seguridad alimentaria, a través del desarrollo de componentes programáticos bajos estas temáticas. En términos de alcance cuantitativo, se lograron evaluar 26 indicadores con disponibilidad de información, encontrando que el proyecto logró el cumplimiento de 16: cumplió con 8 de 8 indicadores en el componente de disponibilidad de alimentos, 4 de 6 en el componente de gobernabilidad, 1 de 2 en el componente de alimento solidario y 3 de 10 en el componente de salud. Social Outcomes of the CARE-WWF Alliance in Mozambique: Research Findings from a Decade of Integrated Conservation and Development Programming
In 2008, the CARE-WWF Alliance emerged as a major strategic partnership between two international non-governmental organizations seeking to tackle the linked challenge of poverty and natural resource degradation. From the start, the mission of the Alliance was to test the idea that empowering some of the poorest and most vulnerable women and communities on the planet to engage in sustainable livelihoods and natural resource governance could improve their wellbeing and conserve globally important biodiversity.
A decade after its inception, the Alliance used existing monitoring data to support an evaluation that assessed the social impacts of the integrated conservation and development program. PROGRAMME DE GESTION EQUITABLE DES RESSOURCES NATURELLES ET DE RENFORCEMENT DE LA SOCIETE CIVILE: PROGRESS III
La troisième phase du Programme de Gestion Equitable des Ressources Naturelles et de Renforcement de la Société civile au Niger, PROGRESIII/JIMIRI financée par CARE Danemark, intègre les leçons et bonnes pratiques de PROGRES II et prend en compte les évolutions des approches et concepts de développement ainsi que les évolutions de contextes internes et externes du Niger, de CARE et des bailleurs institutionnels comme DANIDA. Elle met l’accent sur le pastoralisme à travers le renforcement de société civile pastorale, le plaidoyer, la résilience, le genre et la jeunesse liée aux aspects de migration.
Ce programme contribuera aux objectifs de la stratégie 2020 de CARE, aux ODD et de plan stratégique pluriannuel de CARE Niger. Le PROGRESIII/JIMIRI contribuera aux trois goals programmatiques de CARE Niger, dont majoritairement au (i) programme Sécurité Alimentaire et Nutritionnelle (SAN), au (ii) programme Leadership et Empowerment des Femmes des Filles et des jeunes (LEFFJ) et à (iii) la Coordination humanitaire.

United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations (UBALE), is a five-year (2015-2019) Food for Peace program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a consortium led by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in partnership with the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), Save the Children, and the Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM). The program aims to reduce chronic malnutrition and food insecurity and build resilience among vulnerable populations in three districts in Malawi, Blantyre Rural, Chikwawa and Nsanje.

Endline Survey of Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Action in Nepal at Dhading and Sindhupalchowk Final Report
“Sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Action in Nepal at Sindhupalchowk and Dhading" is a Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded the project which has been implemented by CARE International in the partnership with CSRC and RIMS Nepal. As per the new federal structures, the project covered 6 former VDCs which fall in 2 Rural Municipalities. The ultimate outcome of the project was to improve the well- being and resilience of women, men, girls and boys in targeted earthquake-affected areas of Nepal. An endline evaluation of the project was carried out to capture the performance and impact of the project. The study was carried out using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Six former VDCs where the project was implemented were sampled for the study. A total of 415 household survey, 24 FGDs and 26 KIIs were conducted to collect primary data. Besides these, spot assessments of 16 water supply schemes were also conducted.

Baseline Study of GAC Project WASH Recovery Assistance to Earthquake- Affected Communities of Dhading and Sindhupalchowk, Nepal
CARE Nepal is implementing the Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded project Wash Recovery Assistance To Earthquake-Affected Communities of Dhading and Sindhupalchowk form February 7, 2017. The goal of the project is to see improved well-being and resilience of women, men, girls and boys in targeted earthquake-affected areas of Nepal. A baseline study was conducted in order to collect baseline data for the logical model based on the indicators set in the Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) which will guide to set forth the project target and against which the success can be measured at the end-line.

Mid-Term Evaluation (MTE) of the SHOUHARDO III Program
ARE commissioned a Mid-Term Evaluation (MTE) of the SHOUHARDO III Program to formulate recommendations for the remaining life of the program to increase effectiveness in achieving sustainable impact and increase efficiency in use of resources. The MTE was planned and implemented over the period from late October 2017, through mid-June, 2018, with information gathering and preliminary analysis undertaken in Bangladesh from February 12 through March 12. SHOUHARDO III Longitudinal Study (RMS) Report
The overarching program goal is to improve gender equitable food and nutrition security and resilience of the vulnerable people living in the Char and Haor regions in Bangladesh by 2020. To achieve its goal, SHOUHARDO III focuses on three principal purposes and two cross- cutting purposes: 1) Increased equitable access to income for both women and men, and nutritious food for men, women, boys, and girls; 2); Improved nutritional status of children under five years-of-age, pregnant and lactating women, and adolescent girls; 3) Strengthened gender equitable ability of people, households, communities and systems to mitigate, adapt to and recover from man-made and natural shocks; 4) Increased women’s empowerment and gender equity at both the family and community levels; and 5) Increased provision and utilization of public services (e.g., local elected bodies and nation building departments) for communities, especially for poor and extremely poor women. Within its program areas of agriculture and livelihoods; health, hygiene, and nutrition; and disaster and climate risk management, the project delivers an integrated set of services – a holistic framework with an emphasis on women’s empowerment, gender issues, and good governance.
