This current study was proposed to garner further analysis on the current situation across the five States in Darfur, to better understand the level of women’s meaningful participation and leadership in peace building mechanisms. The research questions focused on the four key areas of CARE International Sudan’s framework for gender equality: advance her human capital; avail the space; engage men and boys; and create an enabling environment.

Evaluación Final del Proyecto BMZ- Madre de Dios “Fortalecimiento de comunidades y organizaciones indígenas de la región de Madre de Dios para el desarrollo local sostenible, defensa y abogacía de sus derechos”
Específicamente, este proyecto busca que “las comunidades indígenas de la RCA diseñen procesos locales de desarrollo de manera independiente y sostenible; y que las organizaciones indígenas apoyan y defienden los derechos e intereses de la población indígena de Madre de Dios activamente ante agentes y tomadores de decisión políticos y sociales a nivel local, regional y nacional”. Para esto el proyecto planificó actividades alrededor de 4 componentes (resultados):
• R1. Las organizaciones indígenas regionales capacitadas y fortalecidas en el acompañamiento de los procesos de desarrollo local y gestión de los derechos e intereses de la población indígena de las comunidades de la RCA.
• R2. Las comunidades nativas de la Reserva Comunal Amarakaeri capacitadas y fortalecidas en el diseño participativo e independiente de procesos de desarrollo local sostenible con enfoque particular en la protección de los recursos naturales y la prevención de conflictos sociales.
• R3. Las actividades económicas sostenibles de las comunidades nativas de la Reserva Comunal Amarakaeri en el sector productivo de la castaña han sido fortalecidas, profesionalizados y promovidos en su desarrollo.
• R4. Estructuras para la gestión sostenible del territorio y de riesgos en el contexto del cambio climático son creadas a nivel de comunidades nativas, y los conocimientos respectivos están ancladas en las organizaciones indígenas.
CARE Perú encargó la realización de una evaluación externa del proyecto. El propósito de la evaluación fue medir el avance en el cumplimiento de los objetivos y resultados esperados del proyecto, así como determinar los principales factores que incidieron, positiva o negativamente en esos resultados. La información generada en la evaluación será de utilidad tanto para verificar el impacto obtenido en la población meta, así como para propósitos de aprendizaje, generando a su vez recomendaciones apropiadas para el diseño e implementación de futuras intervenciones. United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations Participatory Gender Analysis Final Report
United in Building and Advancing Life Expectations (UBALE), is a five-year (2015-2019) Food for Peace program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by a consortium led by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in partnership with the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (CARE), Save the Children, and the Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM). The program aims to reduce chronic malnutrition and food insecurity and build resilience among vulnerable populations in threedistricts in Malawi, Blantyre Rural, Chikwawaand Nsanje.
The UBALE team carried out a gender analysis in August and September of 2015, with the participation of UBALE key staff from across the program. This is the final report for that gender analysis.

Informe Final de Evaluación Proyecto Nutriendo el Futuro Fase II
El Proyecto Nutriendo el Futuro Fase II se ejecutó en el marco de la alianza CARE y Cargill, en apoyo a cuatro países del área centroamericana: Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua y Costa Rica.
Su objetivo fue contribuir a que los productores/as y microempresarios/as de las áreas rurales y periurbanas del área de influencia de Cargill mejoraran la calidad de vida de sus familias, garantizando su seguridad alimentaria y el manejo sostenible de sus recursos naturales. El mismo se implementó por un período de 36 meses, entre septiembre de 2016 y agosto de 2019. El Proyecto brindó apoyo directo a un total de 84 comunidades, 1,606 pequeños productores/as, 968 microempresarios/as y 25,968 niños y niñas en edad escolar. Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras
Se presenta el informe de la evaluación final del proyecto “Promoción de la Seguridad Alimentaria, Desarrollo Económico e Inclusión Social en la Región Lempa de Honduras” resultado de un ejercicio participativo realizado entre mayo y septiembre de 2019. El proyecto fue diseñado e implementado por CARE Internacional Honduras, y tenía por objetivo principal contribuir a mejorar la calidad de vida de hombres, mujeres, niñas, niños y jóvenes que viven en condiciones de pobreza, exclusión, vulnerabilidad y riesgo, generando condiciones para la seguridad alimentaria, la salud, la nutrición y la gobernanza en materia de seguridad alimentaria, a través del desarrollo de componentes programáticos bajos estas temáticas. En términos de alcance cuantitativo, se lograron evaluar 26 indicadores con disponibilidad de información, encontrando que el proyecto logró el cumplimiento de 16: cumplió con 8 de 8 indicadores en el componente de disponibilidad de alimentos, 4 de 6 en el componente de gobernabilidad, 1 de 2 en el componente de alimento solidario y 3 de 10 en el componente de salud. PROGRAMME DE GESTION EQUITABLE DES RESSOURCES NATURELLES ET DE RENFORCEMENT DE LA SOCIETE CIVILE: PROGRESS III
La troisième phase du Programme de Gestion Equitable des Ressources Naturelles et de Renforcement de la Société civile au Niger, PROGRESIII/JIMIRI financée par CARE Danemark, intègre les leçons et bonnes pratiques de PROGRES II et prend en compte les évolutions des approches et concepts de développement ainsi que les évolutions de contextes internes et externes du Niger, de CARE et des bailleurs institutionnels comme DANIDA. Elle met l’accent sur le pastoralisme à travers le renforcement de société civile pastorale, le plaidoyer, la résilience, le genre et la jeunesse liée aux aspects de migration.
Ce programme contribuera aux objectifs de la stratégie 2020 de CARE, aux ODD et de plan stratégique pluriannuel de CARE Niger. Strengthening Rural Development Models in Georgia ENPARD II Final Evaluation
The final evaluation for the EU Project - ‘Strengthening Rural Development Models in Georgia’ was conducted in September-October 2019, in Georgia. By this time the Project was on the completion stage into its two-year duration: November 1st 2017 - October 31st 2019. Mercy Corps, along with three other LEADER implementing agencies within the European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD Phase II) has contributed to the reduction of poverty through integrated, sustainable and participatory rural development in Georgia.

STORIAN BLONG YUMI PROJECT EVALUATION
The purpose of this evaluation is “to assess whether or not the Community Scorecard (CSC) approach as adapted to Vanuatu through the Storian Blong Yumi pilot (SBY) project offers a viable model for community-centred social accountability in Vanuatu and to document lessons from the pilot for future application”.
The Storian Blong Yumi project (SBY) tested the Community Scorecard approach for the first time in the Pacific, applying the CSC to Sexual and Reproductive Health services delivered by Vanuatu MoH health facilities serving 4 communities in Tafea Province.
The Storian Blong Yumi pilot of the CSC model in Vanuatu demonstrated results in the following areas, most strongly in the first two areas:
Stimulating dialogue between service providers and communities and overcoming social taboos to open up discussion within the community on SRH issues. Across all groups, including young men, who were the group that proved most difficult to engage, participants valued the process of community discussion. This dialogue appears to have been the basis for establishing better understanding and relationship between service providers and community members. This in turn seems to have laid the foundations for increased access to services by community members and responsiveness by service providers.
Increasing awareness of the SRH services available within their local health facility. Across groups of older and younger men and women in all locations people were aware of what family planning and STI services were available to them and what the role of the health staff were. in all locations, people who participated in the evaluation were more aware of what family planning and STI services were available to them and what the role of the health staff were. FINAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION REPORT OF THE PROJECT “ZIKA RESPONSE IN ECUADOR AND PERU”
This document is the final report of the performance evaluation of the binational project Zika Response in Ecuador and Peru, implemented in Ecuador and Peru by CARE from 2016 to 2019. The main objectives of the project were to strengthen community, local and national capacities to respond to the outbreak of Zika virus and other vector-borne diseases, as well as to improve regional and national efforts to reduce Zika transmission rates.
The evaluation of the project in Ecuador was carried out in the intervention zones of 10 cantons of the provinces of El Oro, Manabí and Esmeraldas, between August and September 2019; in Peru, in 20 districts of 10 provinces of the departments of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca. After the elaboration of the work proposal and the methodological design of the evaluation, secondary information was collected and primary information was collected at field through interviews, focus groups and social mapping (in Ecuador), and a Likert scale survey (in Peru). The evaluation was framed in five blocks: General Aspects, Community Mobilization, Community-Based Surveillance, Social and Behavioral Change, and Inter-Institutional Planning and Coordination.
The main findings of the evaluation determine that the project achieved, for the most part, the objectives of the project, having as its main achievement the facilitation of inter-institutional coordination of the different actors in the territory. In Peru, the experience of community-based vector control, supported by technological and communications innovations, stands out. In both countries, the project successfully mobilized the community to carry out prevention strategies against Zika and increase knowledge of the risks of this type of disease, as well as useful individual and collective strategies for its prevention.
